Two UE College of Arts and Sciences students of the University of the UUΦ±²₯ (UE) are currently at Soka University in Tokyo, Japan, for a six-month exchange program.
Fourth-year student Theresa Sionosa of UE CAS Manila and third-year student Sylvien Alleya MariΓ±o of UE CAS Caloocan, both taking up Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management in their respective colleges, have been at Soka University since March 25, 2025, attending Nihongo classes with a monthly allowance and free accommodation. They will be at Soka University until August this year.
This activity is part of UEβs commitment to continuously strengthen its internationalization programs, through the Universityβs Office for International Affairs and External Linkages (OIL) and in cooperation with various academic units.
The photo shows Miss Sionasa (left) and Miss MariΓ±o standing right outside the north entrance of Soka Universityβs Global Square, a modern educational facility opened in 2013 and designed to support international exchange and global education, thus a hub for Soka Uβs international activities.
Kudos and take care, exchange-student CAS Warriors!
