WARRIORS, WELCOME TO UE SCHOOL YEAR 2024-2025! /mla/warriors-welcome-to-ue-school-year-2024-2025/ Wed, 31 Jul 2024 23:16:24 +0000 /mla/?p=29837

[NOTE: REGISTRATION/ENROLLMENT for UE SY 2024-2025 is ONGOING up to August 15, 2024.]

Hi, Warriors! August 1, 2024, marks the start of UE classes in UE Manila and UE Caloocan for the first semester of school year 2024-2025 across all levels—Kinder, Elementary, Junior High School, Senior High School, College, and Postgraduate!

As such, incoming Warrior Students, please be advised or reminded of the following advisories before you attend your classes on campus…

1. First Day Hi’s

Your subjects, schedules and room assignments are indicated on your UE registration form for the incoming semester and in your UE Student Portal account.

Your respective colleges and departments, through your professors/teachers, will keep you updated on specific concerns such as examination schedules and other important announcements throughout the semester.

For this, please make sure to regularly access your UE Student Portal account and UE email account for the following platforms, for proper guidance:
• Google Classroom for K to 10 students
• Canvas LMS for SHS, College, and Graduate School students

2. 30 Minutes or More

Be at your UE campus 30 minutes earlier than your first class’s start time as there would be inspections at the gates before you come in and get to your classroom.

3. Enter Here…

Non-Dentistry Warriors of UE Manila: The pedestrian entry and exit points on the main campus of UE’s Manila Campus are the Recto gate, the Lepanto/Loyola Street gate and the Gastambide/Dalupan Street gate.

Dentistry Warriors: The entry and exit points of the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building-UE Manila Annex are on the building’s front façade along C. M. Recto, near the corner of Recto Avenue and Matapang Street, across Morayta/Nicanor Reyes Street.

UE Caloocan Warriors: The student entry and exit points of UE Caloocan are the University Hills gate and the Samson Road gate. (Any incoming vehicles’ entry point is the University Hills gate, with the Samson Road gate as the vehicular exit point.)

4. OOTD

All UE students must wear their UE ID upon entering their UE campus and while on campus. In case your UE student ID is still being processed, be ready to present your UE registration form for SY 2024-2025.

If you haven’t yet, please apply for your UE student ID at the Student Affairs Office (SAO) of your UE campus.

All UE students must always properly wear their prescribed UE uniform upon entry and while on campus. For freshmen and transferees who have no UE uniform yet, you may wear decent civilian wear but (4.1.) be ready to present your UE registration form for SY 2024-2025 and (4.2.) you may come in civilian wear only until August 30, 2024.

UE students not wearing their proper uniform by August 31, 2024, onwards may be subject to sanctions as provided for in the UE Student Manual.

The wearing of the UE PE uniform should be during PE class only.

“Wash Day” for UE college students is every Wednesday. UE college students will be allowed to wear their approved UE recognized student organization (RSO) or shirts on Wednesdays. In the absence of organization shirts, students should wear their school uniform.

5. Just Don’t…

5.1. Unrecognized student organizations, like fraternities and such, are not permitted. Security officers will be manning all areas of the UE campuses to prevent any such groups from doing business on campus.

5.2. The University’s security personnel are tasked as well to ensure that no prohibited or illegal drugs and deadly weapons whatsoever are brought into the campuses. Any such items found on UE students upon entry will be confiscated, with the bearer subject to disciplinary action.

5.3. Smoking, including vaping, is absolutely not allowed on campus.

6. College Freshmen Orientations Advisory

Aside from the in-classroom and any college-level orientations, incoming UE college students, especially among first-year ones or freshies and transferees, will have a general freshman orientation per campus, on campus.

For all UE Manila undergraduate college students—of UE Manila’s College of Arts and Sciences (CAS Mla.), College of Business Administration (CBA Mla.), College of Computer Studies and Systems (CCSS), College of Dentistry (CDent), College of Education (CEduc) and College of Engineering (CEng’g Mla.)—the freshman orientation will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, with some morning sections of UE Manila colleges having onsite orientation at 9 a.m., at the UE Theatre, while some afternoon sections will have their orientations online. The time and groupings will be announced soon.

For all UE Caloocan college students—of UE Caloocan’s College of Arts and Sciences (CAS Cal.), College of Business Administration (CBA Cal.), College of Engineering (CEng’g Cal.), and College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design (CFAD)—the campus-wide freshman orientation will be two Tuesdays from now, August 13, 2024, at the Multipurpose Hall (MPH 3) on the 5th floor, Dr. Lucio C. Tan (LCT) Building, with two orientation groupings and start times as follows:

9 a.m. for CAS Cal. and CEng’g Cal. freshmen
2 p.m. for CBA Cal. and CFAD freshmen

(A separate general orientation for UE Caloocan college upperclassmen and their parents and guardians will be held on August 14, 2024, 2 p.m., also at MPH 3.)
