The University of the UU直播 congratulates Mr. Christian Kenrich O. Yu, a Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand student of the UE Basic Education Department (BED)-Caloocan, for being one of the 19 delegates selected for the Japan-UU直播 Asian Network of Exchange Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme, the theme of which is 鈥淟anguage and Culture!鈥

Mr. Yu, the sole UE student who qualified for the programme this year, applied for the program at the recommendation of his adviser, Mr. Roger Christopher R. Reyes, a UE BED Caloocan faculty member and a 2008 alumnus of the JENESYS Programme.

As a JENESYS delegate or student ambassador, Mr. Yu will immerse in Japanese culture and learn about Japanese society through workshops, school visits and spending time with a host family. Per Mr. Yu, he hopes that his experience in Japan will give additional knowledge that will help him improve UE BED Caloocan鈥檚 Foreign Language Club.
